Ivory Keyes

Biography

Ivory Keyes is a singer-songwriter and author from Norfolk,Virginia. Raised by his grandparents, Ivory Keyes' biological parents were not present in his life. As a child, Ivory Keyes blamed himself for the absence of his parents and at the age of 13, he started using drugs and living a life of crime. Ivory Keyes was later incarcerated for possession of illegal drugs and firearms.

"I grew up in pain. I used music as an outlet for that pain. My unorthodox methods of coping, were to abuse drugs, women and alcohol. I apologize for the harm that I have done to my community. I am not the animal they portray me to be." Ivory Keyes
