I read the Alpha Girl series, which has by far been my favorite werewolf book, because it brings in a lot of other magical creatures and has a really creative plot
Yes I made it myself
Lol
I love werewolves novels,am a big fan
.
I forgot to mention in my last post…
I was rather shocked that you had not mentioned Kelley Armstrong’s ‘Bitten’ AT ALL, I’m pretty sure that out of all those ones you DID mention that it’s the ONLY ONE that was made into a TV series…Yes, that’s right a TV series that ran for 3 entire seasons called, you guessed it, ‘Bitten’!!
You left out Canadian author Kelley Armstrong’s ‘Otherworld’ series; many of the novels in the series, notably ‘Bitten’ her first novel in the series, feature werewolves, in that case, Elena Michaels – the world’s ONLY female werewolf.
In Kelley Armstrong’s amazingly created universe, while werewolves CAN be made, albeit the process more often than not results in a horrible death we discover Elena and Clay, both of whom become werewolves by being bitten – they are the exception to the rule.
Prior to Elena being ‘turned’, no other female on the planet had ever survived the process. The majority of the male werewolves in existence are hereditary wolves and belong to their own familial Packs. This is the first time we see (within the series) how someone can become a werewolf by being bitten and we learn about the strict hierarchy within the Packs.
What’s cool to me, as another Canadian, is that Elena Michaels the protagonist is a Canadian who lives in Toronto, ON Canada, and she later ends up being affiliated with the powerful Danvers Pack in the US.
I have enjoyed Kelley Armstrong’s Bitten and sequels.
When Jim Butcher wrote FOOL MOON, book 2 of the Dresden Files, he was still learning his craft, but it deserves to be mentioned just the same.
