Hot and heavy, what a way to begin a series.
Mia is alone in the world, except for her mother. She is trying desperately to get her degree so she can find a good job that pays enough to be able to get her mom out of the slum they live in. In order to eat though, she has to work, and the bar is not the safest place in the city, but it puts food in her mouth and pays her small bills.
Lucas lost his mate over a year ago, and almost lost his humanity along with her. Even though he has gone rogue, his brother still has his back, and his father, the alpha of the pack, has let him continue to work at the family business. When he notices that there’s something off with the bartender, and sees the three from the red pack go after her, he follows, saving her from an untimely demise no doubt. Little does he know, she is his new intern, and he has to protect her. His wolf, for the first time since his mate’s death, is up and very much alert, wanting to claim Mia as his….but she’s human. Won’t happen.
Mia has her own secrets to hide. Only one problem…the only person other than her mom that she feels safe around, is Lucas. Will she ever tell him her secret? What will happen when he finds out?
Packed full of action and emotions, a great start to what I hope is an even better series. Looking forward to part two.

This author has such a powerful way with words and imagination. The second part of this series is full of dark brooding, with a bit of violence and some heated sex thrown in for good measure.
After yet another try to take Mia, Lucas has taken matters into his own hands and did what he had to to make sure she is kept safe. Even her room mate Jupiter, isn’t quite sure how to act around him, so how can Mia ever decide. His alpha status continues to confuse her, and he won’t let her in…. How will she ever be able to win him over? Will he ever tell her what happened? Why is he refusing to acknowledge the pull between them? So many questions to be answered. Looking forward to part three!

Grrrr!!! Talk about being full of action! Part three will have you on the edge of your seat, if you don’t fall off that is! What kind of trouble can Mia find? Or should we ask what she doesn’t find? Lucas thought he would reward Mia by taking her out to the park for a run and to learn about being a wolf, only to have it backfire on him. And the Red Pack….not going to go away that easily. Will they manage to get their paws on Mia? What or who will they use to lure her to them if they do? OMG! Can’t wait for part 4!

OMG! The excitement and suspense going on in this episode will have you biting the ends of your fingers and your mind trying to decipher what will happen next! Never a dull moment, be prepared to ride the ever foreboding emotional roller coaster as Mia desperately tries to maintain control, waiting for her chance to defy the situation she has found herself in, and save Jupiter at the same time. But, Ms. Woods has thrown us a monkey wrench! Who is Jak? And who’s side is he really on? What is in it for him? Ughhhh!!! Part five please!

Wow! The action just doesn’t let up…not even for a bit! The author continues to bombard us with so much action and excitement that there is no way you will put the book down until it’s finished…and even then, can’t wait for the next episode. Will Lucas make it in time to save Mia once again…third time the charm and all? Will Colin get the girl after all? And what about Jupiter (aka Jeeter)? For a human, she sure is taking all of the excitement like a trooper. Will she manage to find help for everyone? Bring on the finale! I’m ready to see if Mia will find her HEA, and if she does…with who?

If you are looking for a series that will have you on the edge of your seat from the first sentence to the very end, then look no further…this is the one for you. Mia and Lucas have many ups and downs along the way, with an over abundance of action and suspense, and oh don’t forget all of the hot and steamy sexy scenes in between. They have had to fight inch by inch to find their way to each other, only to be snatched away and had many patience tried throughout the entire book, but it was all worth the anguish in the end. Both of them have finally found their place and home….the only question is…is it with each other?
A beautifully written story that will have your stomach in knots at times and your heart beating a notch or two faster during others. Definitely worth the read.
