Lara lives in Tasmania with her family, having moved to the island state in 2013. The stunning coastline and beautiful forests inspired her to set part of her series The Alora Chronicles here.

In her spare time, she enjoys wandering through national parks and chasing waterfalls with her family.

    I loved this series, it had magic, mystery, romance, humor, exciting action, well developed characters and a great plot. I read it in "one fell swoop". I loved that I could read the whole series as if it were one book. I've never read anything by this author before, but she seems a great YA author.

    The only negative thing I would have to say is that all the "good" characters were a bit too perfect. Beautiful, honorable elves and humans that made few mistakes. I found no grammatical errors so someone must have gone through and cleaned up the errors which is great.

    I think that this would be an excellent book to recommend to teens who enjoy magic and romance without graphics. It has both modern teens and elven teens/young adults.

    A really typical fantasy series for teens, Writing was okay, some of the characters were so beautiful in appearance that it was quite annoying.
    The author definetely has talent but I hope she will realize that characters are more believeable when they have flaws and are not just beautiful and nearly perfect.

    I loved the whole story line of this series-- the books were all amazing. I received a free set of these and I don't know if it was just the set I received, but there were a lot of grammatical mistakes in the books, but it didn't really take anything away from the story. The characters were interesting, the world of Alora was described so well it was easy to see it in my mind, and the plot for each book was well thought out. I'd recommend this entire series for older readers since there is some mild language and mild romantic scenes 4.5 rating overall.

    Sweet, clean, suitable for teen on up. A thrilling fantasy with faeries, intrigue, and romance. A few grammatical errors, but they don’t really interfere with the story. I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author!!
