The US Government’s Paranormal Branch has learned Missy’s secret and followed most of her activities. They have her FBI friend join their team, telling him that other supernaturals also exist but Missy is the only female werecat. They want Missy to go on to West Point and tell him that “being a vigilante is not what we want for this girl.”
But, what had started out as her simply trying to help protect another teenage girl eventually led to her being targeted by both the East Boston and New York criminal organizations. With some help from her FBI friend, she copes with crime bosses while finishing high school and starting out at West Point. She also gets some help from her new friends at West Point but makes some enemies there as well.

Review
- Goodreads: over 3,500 four star and five star ratings for this series!
- "I have enjoyed all of the Missy books. She gets into lots of trouble but always seems to be on the good end of things at the end. She is a strong heroine but also likes to help others so even when she is making trouble, it's usually for the bad guys. She is getting less shy and more developed as a person/cat as the books progress. I love these stories!" Amazon
- "This is the first review for this series. As soon as I read one, I wanted to read the next. This is the best series I have read in years ... I hope there are more books coming soon. There are plenty of surprises in each book." Amazon
- "Entertaining and fast paced. I appreciate that we do not have to suffer through another characters' angst over their abilities. She is what she is and she celebrates it. Her desire to be not just an officer, but the best possible officer she can be is laudable and refreshing. Her drive to succeed at whatever she tries is not gender based - just Missy in action. I look forward to the next installment - after all, reading is for entertainment and this author provides it in spades!" Amazon

About the author

P. G. Allison has always loved stories about female characters with special powers (Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Bionic Woman, Batgirl) along with stories about witches and werewolves. The Missy the Werecat Series is about a girl growing up with no pack, no pride of other werecats and no Alpha; Missy is a girl with fantastic abilities doing great things in today's world, amongst humans. Other books in this paranormal, new adult, urban fantasy series have Missy going on to West Point and eventually serving in the Special Forces.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2014This is a great follow-up to the first book. Missy continues to learn how to use her abilities. After meeting one of her new roommates at West Point Missy finds that she is not only a werecat but she has other paranormal abilities as well. Missy's uses her abilities to help people and, in doing so, she get's herself involved with the mob. There was some very interesting twists in this story.
The author knows how to write a great story. The detail, imagery and descriptions are fantastic. There are many awesome characters. Missy is so very intelligent and knows how to deal with those that cross the line. She is amazing.
I have enjoyed the first two books in this series and I am looking forward to the next one which I have already purchased. Great story, I highly recommend it for both YA and adult readers. Quick, easy, entertaining story!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2025I really like this authors writing so far. The stories are, of course, a fantasy but enjoyable. I also like strong female characters such as honor harrington, and some of david webbers, female heroins. I find it refreshing that the way she writes about her interactions with the criminal underworld is not marked by a horrible violence retributions.Butchery massacres, which is what would really happen if such a thing were to really happened. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and things to go horribly. Wrong, but thankfully, it didn't, and like I said, it's a good fantasy. I also love cats and married. My wife, who, for forty three years, has been kitty, to me, aka Kathleen. Highly recommend it
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2022There were a few things that bothered me in this book. Obviously you can't read this as a stand-alone, so when the subject of Missy's two year disappearance is brought up, the author goes into detail once again. But it's with everything, like rehashing Frank McCarthy's story, etc. It got so annoying it had to skip those pages.
Another thing that bothered me where the very long, detailed, pages of sex scenes between Missy and Mike. I skimmed those pages as well. They could have been easily been shorter, condensed.
But the biggest problem I had was the constant focus on Missy's body. For some who have body issues, this might be where you want to skip through these pages, because the character was obsessed with her body. (I was completely fed up with the topic, I ended up skimming through many pages.)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2024I anticipated reading about Missy @ West Point thinking I probably knew what cadets went through. But no I had no clue about the strict regulattions and torment upper class men provided. Unique way Missy kept her head and learned to help other was a pleasant surprise Her reaction to the violence along the way has been unbelievable I am now beginning on her 1st Mission and cannot wait to see how high she excels to. Thank you for writing and intriguing story.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2024Yep, this story was better than the last one. Lots of "adventures" for Missy and a new aspect of her emerging. I really enjoyed it. Just a warning, the explicit sex is very explicit and frankly I found it a but much (personal taste, no pun intended). Also, lots more "f" bombs. Not necessarily a good read for kids under 21 😎.
Now, on to book three.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2017Missy goes to West Point is an other fantastic book buy P. G. Allison. Missy is a Werecat she also discovers she has other paranormal abilities and spends most of her time trying to learn her abilities limits. As a cadet at West Point she learns to share her abilities with others so she can improve her teams for the better.
She has another run in with the mob. Her fed friends decide it's better to help her than let her run loose. Missy's family and friends must be kept safe and this well written dynamic story is about her learning how to do that. She is learning how best to use her brain and speed and new things keep coming.
This series is so great that I went to war with Amazon because I wanted to buy the books not just get them in unlimited. As usual they helped me fix my problem and now I'm the proud owner of five in the series.
There is also some great sex but it is about love and as such even if it's hot it isn't out of place or put in for gratuitous reasons. Mike is her soul mate and they are bonded in body and mind.
Again this is so exciting and well written once you start reading you can't stop.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this!🌻
To say I couldn't put it down would be true, but it would be selling it short. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and it's strong heroine. It was action packed, loved the characters and writing style so much I immediately went out and bought the others! Look forward to reading more in the series!

This book is even better than the first one. Missy doesn't need a uniform with a big red "S". She just gets better and better!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I look forward to reading the next in the series
I really do enjoy reading about the heroine in this book and every time I pick up a book about her I hope the saga never ends. The books are so expertly written that we are brought along on a journey with the main character the reader is hooked on every little detail. In short I love this series of books and would like to personally thank the author for contacting me about them.
The main character is Missy, she is a werecat shifter that has had issues her whole life; in this book we join missy now a young lady with a boyfriend and who seems to be dealing with everything very well. Her whole family know that she is a werecat and so does her boyfriend; she has also been contacted by Robert a member of a government branch specialising in the paranormal which leads her life into an even more exciting venture. Missy is a fantastic character who is motivated by her pure heart to help people even if it puts her in danger. I especially enjoyed reading about how she went through tremendous growth that every normal female has to go through and how she just took it in her stride without hesitation. I absolutely love Missy as a main character and a strong female lead; I also love that these books haven’t taken the same path as every other YA book with a strong female lead in giving them a complication in her love life.
The secondary characters I find most noteworthy are Tracy and Mike; Tracy is Missy’s bunk mate and a follow paranormal I liked Tracy because she offers help to Missy as only another supernatural can in some situations that occur in Missy’s life. Mike is Missy’s boyfriend who learns the truth about Missy and stays with her despite the strain it could potentially put on their relationship; he also stays with her even when she is far away and helps her in all situations.
The pacing and storyline are excellent, this series is not really a one where there is a lot happening but a one that’s only focus is a young girl and her life. I really find these books to be refreshing and realistic and they give the right information at exactly the right time reeling the reader further and further into this fantastic story.
I look forward to reading the next in the series 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Still a good read
A little frustrating with the amount of repetition. It is part of a series, no need to take up room with paragraphs from the 1st book, just padding and a waste of space.
The story continued at a slower pace but is still enjoyable, especially with the new characters and relationships.
On to book 3
