    This author is a master of writing incredible old school fantasy as well as many other genres. This story is one of my favorite series of his as the first book I read by him was the beginning of this series. Mr. Turner is an awesome story-teller and peoples his writing with complex flawed characters! This book is another feather in his already crowded cap!!!

    Being in the wrong place at the wrong time results in the travelers being caught it a bad situation. Will they be able to continue their journey? This is a book with isks, unicorns, and lots of action. Recommended.

    ARC Chris has written another great story. Everything he writes is great. Action from page 1. If you have read the Relic Hunter stories this a great extra story after book 1. I also bought this book after getting the ARC copy.

    The Huntress of Caerlin by Chris Turner is a great story. This is a great story to read and I highly recommend this story to everyone, if you like Robin Hood then you will love reading this story.

    Risgan and his crew of misfits are lost in the woods. Risgan is kind of in charge of the group since he is the reason they were able to escape and capture Afrid. Each of the misfits is growing. Jurna is getting better at tracking. Moeze is improving as a mage, Kahel is learning that he can teach archery when he wants to and even smile on occasion. Hape is learning he is easily over looked.
    As always, the author takes you into his world. I feel like I am right there in the middle of the action. The characters are well developed. He introduced some strong females that help save the day. Arcadia will make a good leader. This is a fast past book and a nice quick read. I really enjoy books like this that drag you in and keep you entertained right up to the end.

    I enjoyed the book in spite of not having read the relic hunter series. I didn't understand the references about the past but the story was sufficient unto itself. The characters were interesting and the situations were imaginative. I recommend the book as a good read. I received this book free or at a reduced price and am reviewing of my own volition.

    This story is now included in book 1, The Forsaken Magic. Turner’s writing is superb, the detail and the descriptions deftly done, his characters whole and believable. Captivating, it had me enthralled from the beginning, with fearsome and powerful creatures like the Isk, magical powers and intriguing turns. A very enjoyable story, it was suspenseful, exciting, with vivid and detailed scenes. A series I’m going to follow! I highly recommend it!
