By: Kevin Lee Swaim
Narrated by: David Loving
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
I love this series! If you haven't read any of the other books you could probably read this and not get lost, the author catches you up but there might be spoilers.
This has vampires, witches, magic, suspense, terror, and lots of action! The characters are well developed and I love Sam, even if he is turning into a vampire, and his sister-in-law that is a nun. His writing draws you in and makes you feel like you are there, fighting along side him, and boy is that terrifying! Love this series so much!
The narrator is terrific! Clear voice and performs the voices perfectly. Keeps the mood and emotions flowing with the story! Wonderful!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2016So enjoyed reading this book that took place in my neck of the woods. So fun to read about places I know so very well. I'm not much of a Vampire interest, but this story kept me wanting to read more.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2017While I thought the first book in this series is great, I was disappointed in the second book. Figured I'd give the author another shot and see where this book takes me. I was pleasantly surprised. It was far better than the 2nd book in my opinion. Faster and more action. Flowed better and enough twists and turns that it kept my up a couple nights past when I normally put a book down and get some sleep. I recommend this installment! I'll also buy the next installment. The only real criticism I can find, is that I'd like to see our hero make a decent kill without almost dying each and every time. I mean keep most of the encounters with evil a real struggle, but throw one or two fights where the good guy gets a lucky shot off or steaks someone without him getting almost killed himself. Just a suggestion.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2016The man who wrote this is from the town i live in and the book is about the same town and the surrounding towns and landscape. I knew where he was at every step of this book. It was exciting. I would love to read the books that are suppose to be before this one and after this one to stay with the characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Like 1 and 2 better
Still good, but not as good as first two,for me spent too much on witches instead of more of vampire hunting
