About the author

As a consultant with a "big four" firm, Peter specialized in corporate reconstructions, recoveries, and liquidations. Depending on the circumstances, he was a surgeon chopping away excess fat, a lifeguard giving mouth to mouth resuscitation, or a funeral director conducting burials.
As a forensic investigator and expert witness, he testified in the courts about the reasons for corporate collapses.
Later he became CEO of one of his recovery clients, Australia's largest heavy transport equipment designer and manufacturer, which he successfully floated as a public company.
He has a background well suited to writing corporate and crime thrillers. In 2012, the Fellowship of Australian Writers commended him for his novel about unconventional gas, Dirty Fracking Business.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2020This book pulls you in quickly and doesn't let go until the end. There are lots of twists and turns. It's not your everyday murder mystery. This is the second book of the series but can be read as a stand-alone. The three main characters are consistent from one book to the next. The third character is a very large loveable Akita that was a rescue from a very abusive background. That's why it's better to read the books in order.
The characters are very well developed and believable. The dialogue flows freely and smoothly. The editing is very clean. I would recommend this book for adults that love a good mystery. Have already downloaded the third book of this series. These books were I'll you in quickly and are unputdownable. (Is that really a word?)
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2023An even better adventure. I will keep reading your books. They are so good and interesting. The world is full of fraud and your character seems to be really good at discerning it's twist and turns. An awesome book leaving me with thoughts of honesty and guilt.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2023A banker helps capture old, Lonely customers, finds a great life style and wonders if her customers have been murdered. A criminal—lawyer has an entire scheme rigged. And Kennelly untangles the mess.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2019Almost an anti-hero, Josh Kennelly helps his family, friends, and those who cannot help themselves. A former soldier with the Medal of Honor, Josh reluctantly uses those skills to do right, to get the job done -- even if it sometimes means he goes off script and slightly over the line.
An entertaining read perfect for a rainy day or someone with a few spare moments. This is the second book in the series and I am looking forward to the next book. The books appear to be stand-alone so you will miss none of the action, no matter where you start.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2019Few authors can weave a tale so well that is both contemporary and plausible. It's sad but true that this type of manipulation exists in our society, and Peter has a unique way of presenting us with his faction. It makes me want to do whatever I can to eradicate scoundrels who prey on the weak, ignorant, and infirm.
I have loved every book he has ever written and always look forward to more from his amazing mind.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2020This is the 2nd book in the series and it doesn’t disappoint..Josh Kennelly is a good man looking to help others.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2019In 2015 I read the first Josh Kennelly book and was impressed with this unlikely hero. I predicted we would see him again but I wasn't prepared for a 5 year wait. I was happy to be offered a free copy of Deadly Bequests in return for an honest review.
The book itself is divided into 4 "books" that made it easier for me to meet the characters before they interacted.
Book one intrigued me as I was once a lowly personal banker. I had empathy for Sandra Norton and the pressures she was going through.
Book two reintroduced and brought me up to date with Josh Kennelly. If I had not met him before, this section of the story would have helped me better understand the story going forward.
Books three and four knead the tale into a growing conflict between the first two books. I had a hard time putting it down(just one more chapter). I went back and read it a second time looking for clues I missed and found the author played straight with us. The trail was there to be seen.
I hear there is another book in the making and hope I don't have to wait as long this time around

5.0 out of 5 stars what a great feel good story where the bad guys got their just deserts
what a great feel good story where the bad guys got their just deserts. The perpetrators were known from the start,so the enjoyment of this book was in finding out how they would be caught.
