Just published the second book in my Cross of Ciaran series and am about to begin Book 3 in my Thunder on the Moor series.

Biography

Andrea Matthews is the pen name for retired teacher, librarian and historian, Inez Foster, who loves to read, write, research, and dig for her roots, genealogically speaking. In fact, it was while doing some research on her husband's family that she discovered the history of the border reivers, which intrigued her so, she felt compelled to write a story centered around them. That grew into my first book, Thunder on the Moor, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Favorite Character You Created

Probably whichever ones are in the novel I'm working on at that particular moment in time. When you write a character, you get to know them. After all, you're spending hours each day with them. I even cried when I wrote one particular character but had to kill him off. Of course, when I move on to the next book, I remember why I wrote them as well and they become my new favorites.
