Do you enjoy listening to audiobooks? We at Book Cave are excited to now offer audiobook deals! We’ve heard from both readers and authors asking for an audiobook option, and we hear you. Audiobooks are great for busy lives—you can still enjoy that novel while getting the dishes and laundry done. And of course, some of us prefer listening to books over reading them!
We want to bring the best audiobook deals, but it’s important to know that audiobook pricing is hugely dependent on the length of the book and the quality of the narration. Creating an audiobook is a production that is closer to video production than to graphic design. It takes more time, effort, and money than creating an ebook! Because of that, we are flexible on the required pricing for audiobooks on our list, but we still will be bringing you audiobooks that are discounted or are already great deals. We’re planning on keeping our audiobook deal offerings below $6.99 while trying to bring you as many free and 99 cent ones as possible.
Authors also have different freedoms when it comes to discounting their audiobook. For example, Amazon gives authors no power over the price of their audiobook, while discounting on Chirp and other retailers requires being approved for a deal. On the other hand, authors can offer audiobooks for free on YouTube and instead make money through ad views and clicks. We’ll give you as many retailer options to download your audiobook as possible, but because of this variability in the author’s ability to discount, some of the retailers may have a better deal than others. We’ll tell you the lowest available price and the highest available price for that deal, so you’ll know what to look for. We want you to get your new audiobook on one of your preferred retailers at the lowest possible price!
So when you’re looking at our audiobook deal pricing, try a couple of the links to find the best deal, and when deciding what is a good deal for you, be sure to take into consideration the length of the book and the type of narration. AI narration will of course be cheaper than human narration, and, on the other hand, expressive narration with different voices for each character will cost more. There are so many different narration options, sometimes even for the same audiobook across different retailers, so you may want to try a sample of an audiobook before buying.
Audiobook deals are now live, so keep your eyes open for them. You’ll be able to easily spot them in your daily deals email by the orange “Audiobook” banner at the top of the cover image. This banner will show if the book is just an audiobook deal, or if it’s both an ebook and audiobook deal.
