Enduring Passions
England, 1939.
Beautiful, headstrong Fay Rossiter is an aristocrat with a glittering future—and music career—ahead of her. Tom Roxham is a railway policeman who plays saxophone part time in a band. They would never normally have met. And they certainly should never have fallen in love. But as Neville Chamberlain announces that the country is at war with Germany, their differences turn out to be the least of their worries. Tom joins the RAF and Fay volunteers as a nurse. Theirs was love at first sight, but now it seems that fate might not be on their side. In a stunning conclusion Tom must risk everything to rescue the woman he loves.
Beneath Us the Stars

But their time together can’t last forever. Bill is torn from Mary’s side and back to the battlefield. Then the unthinkable happens. Bill’s plane is shot down and Bill himself is missing, presumed dead. It’s Mary’s worst nightmare come true, but she won’t give up on her sweetheart now that she’s found him.
