Description
Four years ago, when Savannah Woodward ran from her abusive, and cheating boyfriend, Keith, she hoped for freedom, what she didn’t expect was to find Curtis—another broken soul—on the side of the road.
In his arms, she found life could be blissfully happy, if only for a moment. When events force her to choose between happiness and family, she makes the second hardest decision of her life.
Yet Savannah finds light in the darkness, she survives, and now perhaps she will finally be rewarded with a second chance at life, love and the family she deserves.
Savannah has experienced the worst day she could possibly imagine. Keith, the man she thought she loved, and that he felt the same of her has betrayed her beyond belief. As she walks into their apartment and she catches him with another women. Does he show any remorse? Hell No! He proceeded to give an evil smile to her and continue. When his partner reaches that pinnacle point he separates and corners Savannah, grabbing, throwing her against the wall, and bruising her arms and every place he touches her. Screaming into her face that she is not woman enough for him. She does not know how to satisfy his needs. He continues to abuse her flesh while he strips her of any self confidence she ever had.
Savannah manages to untangle herself from him and runs to her car. Every emotion and thought she has is so jumbled up she packs a bag and just starts to drive. Where she has no idea. Just to escape from Keith and never allow him to touch her again. Aimlessly the miles roll by and still she drives. The rain is pouring by the bucket and ahead she notices a person walking along the side of the road. Drenched and not seeming to be aware he is cold, wet and is miles from anywhere.
So begins the beginning of a great read of Curtis and Savannah helping to heal each other.
