Description
She’d moved here two and a half years ago to get away from a previous crushing defeat and now history was repeating itself.
Pippa moved south to escape the stigma of being jilted at the altar. When she finds happiness riding Ivan, she plans to buy the beautiful chestnut gelding.
Bryce McCloud is a famous local rider. He’s in urgent need of a cheap but talented dressage mount to build back his horse training business.
Pippa arrives for her riding lesson and discovers Bryce is poised to purchase Ivan from under her nose.
Refusing to give up, she cuts a deal with Bryce: by the end of the month, Ivan will go to the person he likes the most. Now she has to come up with enough money and persuade Ivan to choose her instead of the pro rider.
But he wows everyone at the barn with his superb riding on the flashy gelding and has to help Pippa handle the powerful animal during a hurricane.
Thanks to Bryce, she considers herself increasingly unworthy of the horse.
And when she learns that he unwittingly played a big part in ruining her life two years ago, she really dislikes him!
Then she finds out the gifted rider has recently suffered two humiliating blows. He needs the stunning chestnut even more than she does.
Should she let Bryce have Ivan?
Or should she exact revenge on the man for what he did to her?
As she wrestles with this dilemma, Pippa becomes aware of a much bigger problem: her growing feelings for Bryce.
