Description
As an adult, Izabelle has to revisit her childhood home when her elderly father is hospitalised after an accident. From his hospital bed, her father barks orders and insists she throws nothing out. She unearths many memories from her childhood, some truly bizarre items, and her late mother’s diaries, which explain a lot.
Why does one man need 173 shoes or eight broken TV’s? Why is there food in the freezer over twenty years old? Why did he keep her school shoes for 40 years? So many questions but so little time.
This is a true story from Izabelle Winter written in a light and humorous yet heartfelt tone.
