Description
Following her first winter in Arizona as a snowbird after the death of her husband, Sharon Peterson returns to Maine for the summer. She’s happy to be returning to see her daughters, Jessica and Amanda. What she’s not looking forward to is breaking the news that she’s in a romantic relationship with fellow snowbird, Hal Jackson, whom she met on a spur-of-the-moment trip to Sedona. As she’d feared, her younger daughter Amanda is extremely upset by the news and isn’t afraid to let it be known when Hal comes to visit Sharon. The tension continues despite Sharon’s best efforts to smooth things over, but she holds out hope that once she’s back in Arizona, it will resolve itself and in time her daughters will accept Hal.
The past winter there had been the kindling of a romance with Joseph Ramos, the contractor of her Arizona home. That had been put on the back burner when Hal came on the scene, but Joseph was willing to wait for Sharon. Upon her return to Arizona, she realizes her attraction to Joseph might be more than just friendship. Could it be that he is really the better man to have in her life?
During her time in Maine, the dreams she’d been having of a Native American couple in the long distant past had stopped, but upon returning to Arizona, they pick up where they’d left off.
Will Sharon and Shy Dove finally find their happily ever after?
