My eighteenth birthday isn’t what I expected—instead of partying with my friends, I find myself in a hospital, battling a cancer that resists every treatment. I feel hopeless and ready to give up when a mysterious, beautiful man offers me a deal: he will take my cancer, relieve my parents of the burden of medical bills and emotional pain, and in return, he will come for me when I turn twenty-five. I accepted, and suddenly, it feels like my life is starting anew.

With my new lease on life, I seize the opportunity to make up for lost time. I make friends, adopt stray cats, find a steady job, and search for my Mr. Right.
