Lady Bellinda Harper is the eldest daughter of the Earl and Countess of Ellishire. Three years ago she was set to make her debut, but then her mother fell ill. William Lockwood, The Duke of Dunworth, is the sole heir to the Dunworth fortune. Seven years ago he fell madly in love with Lady Jasmine but was left heartbroken when she broke off their courtship and married the Duke of Hudswell. Will is given a letter by his mother from his late father requesting that he find a wife and produce an heir to carry on the family name. He decides that it’s time to let go of the past and find himself a wife during the upcoming London Season.
In a chance encounter, Bellinda is injured while attempting to save Will’s life. While she is recovering he calls in on her and they become close. But will their blossoming love survive when there are so many forces fighting to break them apart?
