Description
As screenwriter Angelina Conte boards a cruise ship bound for Hawai’i, she wishes this was a real Christmas vacation. Too bad she’s here to work. She’s been butting heads via email with the studio’s unbelievably nitpicky scientific advisor, volcanologist Dr. Caleb Sloane.
Between his scheduled lectures on the ship, Angelina intends to prove, face to face, that she’s no Tinseltown hack. At least looking at his face for the next few days won’t be a hardship. The challenge will be not getting lost in in his intense brown eyes.
Before the ship drops him off on the Big Island for a new research job, Caleb plans to work on adjusting his all-work-no-play attitude. A tough assignment when he’s forced to spar with the studio’s story-before-accuracy movie writer.
To their surprise, their chemistry is off the charts. Neither is sure if the catalyst is the steamy tropical nights, or the heat rolling off the script. But when the studio pours a bucket of cold hard reality over Angelina’s head, she remembers why she put love on the back burner—and why, for her, happily-ever-after was never in the cards.
