Akemi of Clover Valley

Description

Akemi O’Malley wasn’t a normal girl. Everyone in the idyllic town of Clover Valley, Wyoming knew this, including herself even before discovering her Kitsune heritage. However, a tragic accident led to her resenting her inhumanity. Specifically, a few weeks ago Akemi went feral and mauled her boyfriend, and caused a fire in town.

But as she stews in her own self-loathing, in the misguided belief that she’s a terrible monster. Supernatural forces gather in Clover Valley, seeking to threaten not just Akemi, but her friends and family. Everything she’s come to know and love about her adopted hometown.

With the help of her adopted family, Thomas and Alisha, her best friend Jane Goodchild, her boyfriend Yancy MacDonald who after Akemi’s rampage was rendered mute, and her biological mother Dr. Akari Hisano who helped Akemi realize that she was a Kitsune in the first place.

Akemi will learn to love herself again, despite being radically different from everyone around her, and learn some startling things about what her heritage entails.
