Poe, the Pothos, a long and leafy vine, is the newest member of a colorful cast of kitchen shelf plants. She sees how special and useful the other plants are—beautiful flowers, tasty leaves, spiky arms and fly-catching traps. Unable to see her own brilliant qualities, Poe tries to be like her shelfmates. Thanks to a little help from her new friends, several stem-breaking stumbles and a deep look inside, Poe grows to discover and delight in the unique gifts rooted within her.
