This month’s reading challenge is to read a book with food or a word related to food in the title, even if the book isn’t about food. Here are some suggestions to get you started!
Cream Caramel and Murder
Genre: Cozy Mystery
Holly Holmes loves her new job working in the kitchen at Audley Castle, home to the eccentric and wealthy Audley family.
With her faithful corgi cross, Meatball, by her side, she enjoys a quiet life full of baking, researching old recipes, and trying any fun fitness fad—weighted hula hoop, anyone?
When the bumbling, and cute, Lord Rupert Audley requests some of her scrumptious desserts for his school reunion, she happily gets baking.
Everything is going great until Meatball discovers a hand sticking out of the ground, Princess Alice faints, and Holly gets stuck in the spotlight for murder!
If Holly can’t clear her name, she’ll lose her amazing new life in the beautiful Audley St. Mary, Meatball will go back to the animal shelter, and her freedom will be history.

Later, when tragedy strikes, truths are revealed that leave Kally brokenhearted and untrusting.

Until the day Max Vardaxis walks into her café . . .
With arguing parents, meddling relatives, an overly energetic grandmother, a man-crazy best friend, and the long ago, mysterious disappearance of a grandfather, this new man in town is just one more complication in Kally’s life, if not the main one. Kally must now decide whether to keep her heart safe or to once again take a “whisk on love.”

What will you be reading for this month’s reading challenge? Let us know in the comments below!
Happy reading.
I’m going to read “DEAD BEFORE DINNER” by Kat Bellemore. It’s the first book in the Maddie Swallows cozy mysteries.
For the cooking challenge, I will be reading Cutthroat Cupcakes by Cate Lawley.
I finished the book last night. The heroine learns something shocking: she is a witch. That wasn’t what I expected, but the magic is woven into the story well and there are some interesting support characters, and a hero, of course.
