Looking for a way to increase your creativity? There are a lot of great apps for writers out there that can help your creative process. Here are a few we’ve found that may help you write even better.
Evernote
Evernote is an app that lets you record text, images, voice memos, and notes and then share it across multiple devices. You can make lists, create reminders, and even share with others. The basic level is free and is available on both iOS and Android.
Lists for Writers
If you get stuck in your writing or just need a little inspiration, Lists for Writers can help. This app provides several lists that will help you come up with ideas for your book. It’s available on iOS, Android, Windows, Nook, and Kindle Fire for $2.99.
Merriam-Webster
Did you know that Merriam Webster’s has a free app? You can get definitions for words, pronunciations, and synonyms on both Android and iOs.
Spotify
Spotify is an app that allows you to search for songs, create playlists, and listen to music anywhere. You could even create playlists for certain characters in your book to help you get in their heads and ready to write their story. Or listen to music from a certain time period or geographic area to better internalize your story’s location.
Story Tracker
This app tracks your story submissions. You can keep a list of submission guidelines, track where and when you submitted your writing, and review your income. It is available on iOS, Mac, and PC.
The Brainstormer
This is an application meant to get your creative juices flowing. It has three wheels with different phrases that you spin to create a random story. If you’re stuck in your novel or just need a creative recharge, The Brainstormer can help. It’s $1.99 in the iTunes Store and $0.99 in the Android store.
